Engage Missions

Engage, like every church, is called to be on mission for Jesus. At Engage this occurs by individual Christians being on mission in their world and it occurs by the church together being in the support of mission around the world. Funding for our mission endeavours comes from direct donations as well as the church giving 10% of its income to supporting mission activities, both locally and globally. News from our various mission partners is often shared during our Sunday services and through Engage’s social media.

The Good News Team

The Good News Team produces a children’s evangelistic booklet every year that is distributed to thousands of school children across Thailand. The emphasis has always been to bring a clear Gospel message in each booklet. Up to 200,000 copies are printed and distributed each year. The Team visits Thai state schools where they are able to present the Gospel to the whole school. After these programmes, each child is given a copy of one of these booklets. The Team also sends packets of these booklets to school libraries throughout Thailand. Up to 10% of children who receive a booklet then write for more information about Jesus. On average five to ten children, and their families, will read each booklet.

Compassion

Compassion is a Christian international holistic child development organisation. Through their Child Sponsorship Program, more than 2 million children are currently being released from poverty in Jesus’ name. With over six decades of experience, Compassion’s unique approach to solving poverty works. Currently Engage sponsors three children in Thailand and one from Rwanda. Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a hands-on way for us to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. We drop off the boxes and OCC distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ, to children living in vulnerable situations. Engage usually fills around 100 shoeboxes for children in Oct/Nov each year, as a Christmas present and an example of God’s love for them. Teams of Engage people also go to the OCC warehouse in Sydney’s west to help prepare the boxes for shipment.
