- All people are created in the image of God, yet fall short of God’s standards, meaning we have become separate from Him and His purpose for our lives, but we can freely find forgiveness through faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ.
- Through his death and resurrection, Jesus has provided the way for all to be reconciled to God through forgiveness of sin and entry into the kingdom of heaven.
- Salvation is the free and gracious gift of God to all who turn to him in genuine repentance and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. It results in a life characterised by repentance, trust and moral uprightness. It secures relationship with God, freedom from guilt, discovery of dignity as God’s children, the liberating presence of the Holy Spirit, regeneration and introduction to the family of God.

- The Bible, i.e. the 66 books of the Protestant Bible, is the divinely inspired Word of God.
- It is the supreme source of truth and final authority for Christian living.
- The Bible reveals God’s heart and will for us, imparting a life-giving message for our everyday lives.
- The Old and New Testaments are not to be added to, superseded, or changed by later tradition or supposed revelation.
- Because the Bible is the completed Word of God to us, whatever is not contained therein is not to be declared as a statement of belief.
- The statements of belief are held because they are understood to be the central or main teaching of the Scripture. They are therefore always subject to the authority of Scripture.
(Matthew 4:4; 5:17-18; 24:35; John 5:39; 10:35; 17:17; Acts 28:23; 1 Corinthians 2:7-16; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
Engage Community Church believes…
- All believers are members of the Body of Christ, the one true church universal.
- That God uses the Church as His primary way of bringing healing, hope and good news to a lost and hurting world.
- The local church is a congregation of believers who under Christ’s leadership, gather for worship, prayer, instruction, encouragement, mutual accountability and community with each other.
- The Church is called to reflect God’s character and out of love, serve the broader community, as we bring the good news of Jesus Christ and outwork the Great Commission.
- Because the Bible is the completed Word of God to us, whatever is not contained therein is not to be declared as a statement of belief.
- The statements of belief are held because they are understood to be the central or main teaching of the Scripture. They are therefore always subject to the authority of Scripture.
- God calls every believer to be a servant of Christ and each other, actively involved in gift based ministry in the life and mission of the Church.
- We strive to be a local community of Jesus followers, where all are welcome; where everyone can contribute and find a place to belong, believe and become all God intends us to be.

In Christian Baptism of those who have proclaimed their faith in Christ.
Baptism is practiced by full immersion in water by believers old enough to express their own faith. People who join from other Christian denominations and have been baptised under a different practice are accepted without the need to be baptised again. We practice the dedication and blessing of children and their parents.
